ROOT Inc. , Mobile Internet Services, Inc. and its partners started IPv6 wireless Internet connection trial tests, part of the TAO Research-and-Development Project
ROOT, Inc. (head office: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, president: Hiroshi Mano),Mobile Internet Services, Inc. (Abbreviation: MIS, Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Hiroshi Mano), Kyoto University, Advanced Software Technology and Mechatronics Research Institute of Kyoto, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Keio University, Institute of Systems and Information Technologies/KYUSHU started IPv6 wireless Internet connection trial tests, part of the 2001 Research-and-Development Project of the Telecommunications Advancement Organization of Japan (Abbreviation: TAO). With the cooperation of Mobile Internet Accession Kyoto (Location: Chukyo-ku, Kyoto City, inside NPO Sustainable Community Center Japan, Secretary General: Reiko Asano, URL: http://www.miako.net/), more than 100 access points will be set up, resulting in the largest scale wide area IPv6 wireless Internet connection field tests in Japan
