• Started shipment of high-speed wireless IP router "RGW5000 series" and Released"Secure IP Solution ver.1.1.0.0" which realizes comfortable ubiquitous computing with infallible security in November 2004.

1. Started shipment of high-speed wireless IP router "RGW5000 series"
 ROOT INC. started shipment of high-speed Wireless IP router "RGW5000 series", which is based on IEEE802.11g. "RGW5000 series" enables transmission rate up to 54Mbps(Actual transmission rate up to 20Mbps), and realize long-distance transmission up to 22 km.
 RGW5000 series which are integrated radio system and IP routing technology, realizes multi-point to multi-point LAN connection and constants access to IP network.
 Besides, it realizes to construct ad-hoc IP networks at low cost by adding RGW5000 in turn while there is a relay function.
 It is also possible to mix construction with 2.4GHz DSSS (Direct Sequence Spectrum Spread) wireless IP router, adapts on IEEE802.11b "RGW2400 series" which is installed in over 10,000 stations in over 150 local government units in Japan. So it realizes to install more or replace the IP network easily.

2. Released version upgraded "Secure IP Solution ver.1.1.0.0" which realizes comfortable ubiquitous computing with infallible security.
Released version upgraded "Secure IP Solution (SIS) ver.1.1.0.0" which realizes comfortable ubiquitous computing with reliable authentication and infallible security at both wired and wireless networks in the various IP networks such as offices, hospitals, universities, education and research institutes.
"SIS ver.1.1.0.0" realizes to advance and expand the functions, which MacOS using and plug-in client's profile is available for adapting environment for the usage flexibly.

1. "Expansion of available OS clients" for adapting various usage scene;
   Adds MacOS X 10.3 or later, CASSIOPEIA DT5100(OS:Windows CE.NET4.1 Japanese ver.) to the client lineup. Improved convenience by various adapted OS clients.
2. "Individual authentication" for adapting flexible usage scene;
   Adds the function of plug-in profile, which realizes "individual authentication" with existing authentication method, "authentication by device".
   Maintains client's profile on removable media such as USB Flash, so the removable media is available for using as a "KEY" for connecting with SIS.
3. "Expansion of registerable numbers of the group names of base stations" for adapting large level of the IP networks;
   Expands registerable numbers of the group names in the Authentication server from 64 to 1,024 per a base station.
4. Others;
   Adapts to the function of reverse pass tunneling, static routing and reject routing. Adds SIS wired access controller "RAR" and SIS wireless access controller "RBR" to the SIS products lineup.
