ROOT INC. -New Product- Releases Dual Wireless LAN Access Point "RDA5000", which is based on IEEE802.11a/b/g.

ROOT INC. (Head Office: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, President: Hiroshi Mano URL: http://www.root-hq.com/e/ Abbreviation: ROOT) releases Dual Wireless LAN Access Point "RDA5000", which is based on IEEE802.11a, IEEE802.11b and IEEE802.11g and enables simultaneous transmission at speed of 54 or 11Mbps in July 2003.

RDA5000 complies with 3 kinds of wireless LAN standards, 5.2GHz band/54Mbps (IEEE802.11a), 2.4GHz band/54Mbps(IEEE802.11g) and 2.4GHz band/11Mbps(IEEE802.11b), and the mode is automatically switched depending on receivers.

ROOT has already released "Secure IP Solution", which realizes reliable authentication and infallible security, in wired/wireless LAN. By adding RDA5000 to the existing lineup at this time, higher-speed wireless LAN environment is realized under advanced security and authentication. ROOT will provide secured and comfortable IP network solution for universities, hospitals, offices and autonomies.

ROOT will exhibit RDA5000 at "NETWORLD+INTEROP 2003 TOKYO", the maximum scale network computing event in Asia held from July 2 (Wed.) to 4 (Fri.) in Makuhari Messe (Japan Convention Center).
