About the Name "ROOT Inc."

ROOT Inc. is an independent R&D-oriented firm founded in 1993 with the following corporate missions:

• To contribute to society by developing problem solving technologies
• To nurture highly creative engineers and offer them meaningful and long-lasting careers

The term "object oriented" has been a driving concept in software programming circles for quite some time now. At ROOT Inc., we believe this term should not be limited to describing a kind of software development, but rather should be a keyword that applies to all fields of technological development.

We are striving to build an organization and develop technologies that are not captive to just one particular field, but that grasp problems by their roots and find truly effective solutions to them.

It was with this hope that we named our company ROOT Inc.--both as an acronym for "Real Object Oriented Technology," and to embody the meaning of the English word "root."
